Rigid plastics packaging manufacturer Silgan will cease operations at its Port Clinton, OH blow molding facility, with room to close completely in the third quarter. Alan Koblin, Silgan Plastics president, said the move will improve the flexibility of the company and increase cost competitiveness. Existing business and the team will move to other plants Silgan Plastics in the Midwest. Silgan acquired the Port Clinton, OH facilities in 1989.
